Library Scholarships: The following are a list of scholarships offered to students wishing to pursue a career in librarianship or information technology. |

Indian Library Association Scholarship |
|||
ASCLA Century Scholarship The Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA), Library Service to Special Populations Section and the Library Service to People with Visual or Physical Disabilities Forum established the Century Scholarship to recruit people with disabilities into the library profession. The Century Scholarship is designed to bring diversity into the library profession to reflect the diversity of the communities library professionals serve. The annual $2500 scholarship will fund services or accommodations for a library school student or students with disabilities admitted to an ALA-accredited library school. |

Betty J. Turock Scholarship The Betty J. Turock Scholarship, in the amount of $5000, is an American Library Association general scholarship awarded to a member of a principal minority group in an ALA-accredited program. The recipient must be a US or Canadian citizen, or permanent resident. |

The E.J. Josey Scholarship Award The E.J. Josey Scholarships are two (2) unrestricted grants of $2000 awarded annually by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association to African American students enrolled in, or accepted by, ALA-accredited programs. |

LITA/LSSI Minority Scholarship The LITA/LSSI Minority Scholarship, is awarded annually by the Library and Information Technology Association (LITA), a division of the American Library Association, and Library Systems and Services, Inc. (LSSI). The scholarship, in the amount of $2500, is designed to encourage the entry of qualified American Indian or Alaskan native, Asian or Pacific Islander, African-American, or Hispanic students who are US or Canadian citizens into the library and automation field. |

LITA/OCLC Minority Scholarship Awarded jointly by OCLC, Inc. and the Library and Information Technology Association (LITA), a division of the American Library Association, the LITA/OCLC Minority Scholarship is designed to encourage the entry of American Indian or Alaskan native, Asian or Pacific Islander, African-American, or Hispanic students into the library and automation field. This annual scholarship, in the amount of $3000, is offered to qualified applicants who are US or Canadian citizens. |

REFORMA Scholarship The REFORMA Scholarship provides financial assistance to encourage and enable Spanish speakers to pursue or advance a career in library and information science as part of REFORMA's mission to support the active recruitment of bilingual and bicultural librarians to meet the information needs of the Spanish-speaking community. This annual award ($2000 minimum) is open to citizens and permanent residents of the US who are Spanish-speakers and who wish to pursue graduate study in the field of Library and Information Science. |

Sheila Suen Lai Scholarship of Library and Information Science The annual Sheila Suen Lai Scholarship of Library and Information Science, awards $500 to a full-time student of Chinese heritage who is currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited master's program or in a doctoral program in Library and Information Science in a degree-granting institution in North America. The Scholarship, administered by the Chinese American Librarians Association, is designed to encourage the development of leadership in Chinese American librarianship. |
