Phil Agre is an assistant professor of communication at the University of California, San Diego. He is the author of Computation and Human Experience (Cambridge University Press) and co-editor of Technology and Privacy: The New Landscape (MIT Press) and Reinventing Technology, Rediscovering Community: Critical Studies in Computing as a Social Practice

John Buschman is Department Chair and Collection Development librarian at Rider University Library. He has authored several articles for the library press, edited Critical Approaches to Information Technology in Librarianship (Greenwood, 1993) and is co-editor of Progressive Librarian.
